Rony Sussan
Rony was born in Tiberias, Israel, the third of six children. His fascination of interpersonal dynamics was honed at an early age, initially expressed through art, and gradually a spiritual journey that continues to this very day.
Motivated by the loss of several close family members at an early age, Rony tried to assess what his life was all about. This all came to a head when he lost his mother at an early age and out of nowhere, with no prior health issues, it triggered a diabetic attack. It took him several years to make the connection between emotion and health and trauma to illness. Through years of conventional medicine, mood swings and daily health challenges, Rony was frustrated that this would be the trajectory of his life, and this propelled him to seek holistic practitioners. Through the guidance of these practitioners and deep study, he learned how to mitigate his diabetes through food combining and other modalities to bring a consistent balanced state.
In the early 1990’s Rony was introduced to the teachings of Kabbalah in Los Angeles where he began his intensive study using the teachings of the Torah and those of Rabbi Isaac Luria. He had a profound realization of what direction his life was meant to take and furthermore, he felt an obligation to share these important teachings. Rony became a senior teacher at the Kabbalah Centre from that time on.
In 2017, together with his students, he formed Havayah, a non-profit organization and he has taught classes not only in students' homes but also at Temple Torah in Little Neck, New York, the Sid Jacobson JCC in Greenvale, NY and soon at the Havayah Centre which will be located in Roslyn, NY.
